Violence: A Yorkville woman told deputies her live-in boyfriend became violent during an argument over pictures on her cell phone, Tuesday. The woman told deputies the man began beating her face and body, and when she fell to the ground picked her up by the neck and held a gun to her head and said he was “going to jail tonight” and was “going to kill them both.” The woman said he began pacing, so she grabbed her keys and fled in her car. Deputies said the man denied assaulting his girlfriend and said the injuries were from prior incidents.
Arrested: Wilson Shane Maxwell, 32, 221 County Road 2, Yorkville, domestic violence, Tuesday.
Arrested: Martin L. Ayers, 21, 605 McDowell Ave., Steubenville, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, safecracking, assault, aggravated menacing, endangering children, and theft, Tuesday. Ayers is charged with taking a gun from a locked safe hidden in the bedroom of a Wintersville residence while his girlfriend, a minor, was babysitting the homeowner’s children.
Arrest: Marcus Gibson, 36, 49546 Cherry Valley Road, Cadiz, probation violation, two counts of assault and a failure to appear warrant out of Harrison County, Sunday.
Arrested: Dagan Rosor, 36, 165 Township Road 104, Dillonvale, failure to appear, Tuesday.
Protected: A woman claimed a man in the 900 block of N. Sixth Street had violated a protection order she’d obtained against him, Tuesday. Police said the man told them he was retrieving his possessions from a friend’s residence when the woman pulled up alongside him in her car, taunting him, saying “50, gotta stay 50 away.”
Confused: Police said they assisted an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper with a disoriented man walking in the roadway, Tuesday, When they arrived on scene, police said the man was laying on the side of the road and appeared to be under the influence.
Overdosed: Narcan was administered to a woman in the 1400 block of Maryland, Tuesday. The woman told authorities she’d snorted heroin.
Notified: Notices of property maintenance violations were sent to owners of properties at 1420 Ridge Ave., grass; 1521 Plum, grass; and 421 Union, grass, tires, car parts and other items.
Chain reaction: A man backing out of a parking space at the grocery store bumped a woman’s shopping cart while she was loading groceries into her trunk, Tuesday. The woman said the impact forced the cart into her leg. She said she yelled at the driver, he apologized and said he had a lot on his mind and drove off.
Arrested: Zachary D. Davidson, 29, 362 Maplewood Drive, Steubenville, failure to appear, Tuesday.
Arrested: Kelci C. Walters, 28, 959 Sherman Ave., Steubenville, possession of a drug abuse instrument, possession of drug paraphernalia and bench warrant (Belmont County), Tuesday. Walters also was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession. Police alleged Walters had nine hypodermic needles, a glass crack pipe and two spoons with drug residue in her possession.
Arrested: Marion Hicks, 67, 180 N. Fourth St., Apt. 708, Steubenville, assault and public intoxication, Sunday.
Arrested: Tina McGee, 41, Wintersville, fugitive from justice and possession of drugs, Sunday.
Cited: Megan M. McCombs, 22, 1969 Bantam Ridge, Wintersville, red light violation.
