Steubenville police

Destruction of property: Police had to make three return visits to the Harding-McKinley neighborhood, Thursday, for calls involving a woman who earlier in the week had been accused of throwing a garbage can at neighbors. At 4:19 p.m. Thursday the woman told police the same neighbors involved in the earlier dispute had damaged her vehicle by throwing what appeared to be metal poles at it. The damage was photographed by police and the woman said she would provide video of the attack. Forty-five minutes later police were notified of a disturbance involving the same woman and the same neighbors, this time because they had items she wanted returned. The items were retrieved.Then, around 7 p.m., the same neighbors told police the woman was throwing beer bottles at them and their yard. Once on scene police said they could hear the woman “screaming and yelling obscenities” at the neighbors while children were present. In talking with the woman, the reporting officer said she was “highly intoxicated and (he) could smell a strong odor of alcohol” on her breath as she continued to scream at him.

Third party: A woman said she’s getting threatening calls and texts from the ex-girlfriend of a man she’s seeing, Thursday.

Theft: Someone removed an aftermarket hood from a vehicle parked in the rear lot at a car dealership, Thursday. The thief loaded the hood, valued at around $2,000, into a pickup.

Community property: An Arlington Avenue resident told police a neighbor across the street is dumping his trash in her city garbage can, Thursday.

Hole in one: A motorist in the 400 block of Lovers Lane near the Steubenville Country Club said his rear window was shattered by a golf ball, Thursday.

Arrested: Quayaira Johnson, 27, Steubenville, driving while suspended and failure to appear, Thursday.

Arrested: Roman Ford, 24, Martins Ferry, domestic violence, Thursday.

Arrested: George L. Boyd, 45, and Ciara S. Boyd, 32, 2240 Cleveland Ave., Steubenville, each charged with domestic violence, Friday.

Arrested: Kenneth Shepard, 35, Hopedale, failure to appear, Friday.

Arrested: Penny J. Falbo, 65, 412 Shangri-La Lane, Wellsburg, petit theft, Sunday.

Cited: Hugh McGuire, no age given, 2616 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, overtime parking.

Dog bite: A woman reported being bitten by a black labrador near Belleview Avenue Saturday. She was treated at Trinity Medical Center West for a laceration to her thigh and three puncture wounds to the rear of her leg.

Vehicle vandalism: A window of a vehicle was shattered with a brick while parked in the rear 1300 block of Arlington Avenue Saturday night.

Vandalism: A rock was thrown through the window of an apartment in the 700 block of Kendall Avenue Saturday night.

Fireworks: While responding to a fireworks complaint, police found two large mortar rounds in the area of Cedar and Murphy avenues Saturday night.
