Police reports

Steubenville police

Damaged: A driver reported his rear passenger side bumper and cargo door were damaged by a hit-and-run driver while the vehicle was parked in the lot outside the hospital’s emergency department. The driver said he’s parked in the lot for extended periods recently, so he didn’t notice the damage until he washed the vehicle Monday.

Repercussions: Two women got in a shoving match at Heritage Place on Monday over hurtful Facebook posts one of them had made about the other, police said. The woman who considered herself maligned said she confronted the poster, and when they started shoving each other said she grabbed her phone and slammed it to the ground. The woman who allegedly made the posts had been banned from Heritage Place prior to the incident, and surveillance footage of the incident is being forwarded to police.
