Jefferson County sheriff

Lost but found: Wheeling police reported they’d recovered a gun stolen from Jefferson County, Tuesday. Officers said they’d pulled a vehicle over after the driver failed to come to a complete stop, and their K9 alerted to the presence of contraband. The gun, a silver Smith & Wesson 9mm, was in a locked glove compartment.

Walker: Callers reported a woman under the influence walking in the roadway in Richmond. Deputies said the woman went to several homes, asking to stay and was told no.

Arrested: Nicholas R. Bozman, 29, 211 East Road, Toronto, charged Tuesday with leaving the scene, driving under suspension and reckless operation.

Mingo Junction police

Arrested: Dennis W. Egnatz, 54, 211 Mansfield Ave., Carnegie, Pa., was taken into custody on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence and a marked lanes violation, Tuesday.

Wintersville police

Arrested: Kevin E. Scott Jr., 22, 121 Montgomery Lane, Mingo Junction, charged Tuesday with a probation violation.

Toronto police

Arrested: Sarah E. Lawson, 32, 1105 N. 4th St., Toronto, taken into custody on a domestic violence charge, Tuesday.

Steubenville policea

Drug problem: Two women were found on the ground on the passenger side of a vehicle parked at the mall Tuesday, both with a pulse but neither of them conscious. Ambulance personnel arrived on scene and began to treat both of them, police said. Both women were transported to Trinity West.

Harassment: The owner of a business on N. Sixth St. said four juveniles have been hassling his customers, and when he told them to leave Tuesday one of them hit him in the face with a rock. The kids fled, but with the help of bystanders, police tracked them down to a location near Fourth and Washington streets. The kids admitted to being involved in the incident, but the store owner who was assaulted couldn’t identify which of the four had hit him. The four were released to the custody of their parents and a report forwarded to the juvenile division. Police suspect the same four boys were involved in throwing rocks off the Sixth Street overpass onto Washington Street.

Threats: A Sunset Boulevard resident told police Tuesday she’s being harassed by her neighbors, one of them going so far as to threaten to poison her dog. The woman said one of them threw a pack of firecrackers after an argument earlier in the day.

Thrown for a loop: A man arguing with his girlfriend in the 800 block of North Sixth Street “tossed her outside,” police were told, Tuesday. The woman declined to file charges; the male refused to answer the door.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to the owners of properties at 639 N. Sixth St., garbage and other items; 704 N. Sixth St., old furniture and garbage bags; 3305 Sunset Blvd., litter and other items.

Disturbance: A caller reported a short male and a female in a white SUV creating a disturbance on Sixth Street near Herald Square, Tuesday, telling police the man got out of the vehicle and the woman tried to run him down. Police couldn’t locate either party.

Arrested: Allison N. McEwen, 22, 69 township Road 510, Brilliant, charged with theft and criminal tresspass, Tuesday; Brandon McLaughlin, 39, 525 Clinton Ave., Steubenville, charged Tuesday with failure to appear.

Cited: John P. Rall, 22, Ashland, Ohio, speeding.
