Warranted: Charlene Marie Peace, 1367 township Road 428, Toronto, was served with a warrant for failure to appear on a drug possession charge in Columbiana County, Tuesday. She also was cited for scavenging prohibited because she was allegedly dumpster diving at a Hollywood Plaza business without permission.

Perspectives: Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue after a caller reported seeing a female acting disorderly with a male companion, Wednesday. The woman said the man was harassing her and had pushed her down, though police noted she had no visible injury, and her male companion told them he was just trying to talk to her to calm her down. When the woman told police she wanted to be left alone, he complied.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to owners of property at 419 Darlington Road, junk and appliances; 306 S. 7th St., junk and litter piled on back porch and property; 1503 Ridge Ave., junk and trash in front and back yards; 1507 Ridge Ave., junk and litter in the front yard.

Turned in: A man walking in the 100 block of S. Third Street found a purse, Wednesday. The bag had no identification, only a notebook and religious booklets.

Noisy neighbors: Three misdemeanor citations for possession of marijuana were issued after a caller complained that a carload of people was parked in the 700 block of Oakmont Avenue for more than an hour, Wednesday. Police said the occupants were playing loud music and otherwise disturbing neighbors. Issued citations were Caitlin Rae Purdy, 26, 970 Canton Road, Wintersville; Timothy Bryant Clark, no age available, 236 Christopher Ave., Wintersville; and Kni’Heem K. Saunders, 18, 730 Oakmont Ave., Steubenville.

Disturbance: Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the 2000 block of Whitehaven Boulevard, Wednesday. Once on scene, a male told them he’d been arguing with his wife over marital property but said she’d left prior to their arrival. Officers returned to the residence two hours later when the couple started arguing again and said each of them demanded the other be removed from their shared property.

Unleashed: An Oakmont Avenue resident complained to police that three unleashed dogs were on his property, barking at his cats, Wednesday. The man said an Australian Shepherd, a Chihuahua and possibly a poodle came on his property and told police at least one or two of them belonged to an individual on Rosswell Avenue. The owner told police her kids must have let them out, but they weren’t aggressive.

Vandalized: A woman in the 1800 block of Oregon Avenue told police someone spray painted her garage window purple, Wednesday. The woman said her house has been targeted by vandals for a while but she’s not sure who is responsible, though she did tell police she’s had problems with a neighbor.

Benched: Police reported seeing a man stumble over a park bench and then remain on the ground without getting up, Wednesday. When they spoke with him, they said the man “seemed highly intoxicated” and reeked of alcohol.

Tuned out: An anonymous caller had reported a disturbance involving two women on Barbara Street in Pottery Addition, but deputies said it turned out to be two women who’d turned their radio up while they cleaned their garage.

Booked: Allison McEwen, 22, 49 Township Road 500, Brilliant, probation violation, Wednesday.
