Recovered: A vehicle that was reported stolen Monday from a residence in Salem township, Richmond, was recovered in Barbour County, WV, Tuesday. Sheriff’s deputies there said the vehicle was unoccupied. No further details were available.
Uninvited: A Wintersville man checking on property he purchased on County Road 43 said he found a truck parked at his gate and two men riding a four-wheeler on his property, Tuesday. He told deputies he’d like to pursue charges.
Booked: Amber Blancato, 30, 119 N. 5th St, Toronto, domestic violence, Tuesday; Zachary Cochran, 27, 57727 Deep Run Road, Martins Ferry, failure to appear, Tuesday; Jacob C. Wallace, 28, Kingston, OH, failure to appear, Monday.
Unaware: A vehicle was driven into a parking lot where it jumped the curb and side-swiped a light pole outside a medical facility on Sinclair Avenue, Tuesday. Witnesses said the driver, described as an elderly male, got out and looked at his vehicle then got back in and drove away.
Suspicious timing: A woman in the 500 block of Ross Street said someone set fire to the driver’s side of the front seat in her truck, Tuesday. She told police a man came to her door and wanted inside at 3:30 a.m. and when she wouldn’t let him in, he walked to her truck and opened the drivers’ door. The woman said she thought the man was just going to sleep there and said she didn’t notice any flames or fire, police said.
