Body pulled from Ohio River between Wheeling and Bridgeport
WHEELING — Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the Wheeling Police and Fire departments were dispatched for a report of a man’s body in the back channel of the Ohio River.
The body will be taken to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston for positive identification, which could take several days.
Wheeling Police Department detectives will be looking into possible missing persons cases with regional law enforcement agencies.
