Hunting for eggs

Area youth gathered in Weirton Saturday morning, gathering up candy-filled Easter eggs at Edwin J. Bowman Field as part of the annual Easter egg hunt offered by the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation. The event featured 10,000 Easter eggs, a chance for prizes, a bounce house and free cookies and hot dogs, along with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Hancock County Savings Bank served as the major sponsor, with support also provided by Weirton Medical Center, Weirton Elks, Weirton Rental, Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton Wal-Mart, Follansbee Sheetz, Weirton Dairy Queen, Novelty Plus and the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation. — Craig Howell
