Chromatic Challenge postponed

WEIRTON — The second-annual Chromatic Challenge 3K run and walk, set for today, is being postponed.

Officials with the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation made the announcement Friday morning, citing a lack of registered participants.

Organizers hope to be able to hold the race at another time in the coming weeks.

“We’re still going to do it, but maybe in mid-summer,” Programs Director Chris Krishak said.

The non-competitive race features a course beginning and ending at Starvaggi Memorial Park, with three stations at which participants are doused with colored powder.

Details on the rescheduling will be released at a later time.
