Energy Express

Some of the 35 youth participating in the Energy Express program at Oak Glen High School this summer listen as one of the program’s coordinators go over plans for an activity. Organized by AmeriCorps and the West Virginia University Extension Service, Energy Express is a summer reading and nutrition program offered at several sites in both Hancock and Brooke counties. There are 80 sites in West Virginia, serving more than 3,400 youth in first through eighth grades. — Contributed
