Top of WV CVB seeking new executive director
WEIRTON — The search is on for a new top tourism official at the “Top of West Virginia.”
The Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau has begun advertising for a new executive director.
Resumes must be postmarked no later than July 20, according to the advertisements. To apply for the post, interested individuals are asked to send a resume with cover letter to: Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau, P.O. Box 98, Weirton, WV 26062.
The position “functions at a professional level and has supervision over the day-to-day operations of the bureau and the staff members.”
Duties and responsibilities include developing and implementing an ongoing strategic plan to promote Hancock and Brooke counties, establishing and maintaining relationships with local, county and state officials, provide leadership for the development of tourism in the area and more.
The CVB is looking for someone with at least a bachelor’s degree in business marketing or travel and hospitality management, a minimum of five years experience in managing people and financial resources in the hospitality industry, or any equivalent combination which may provide the required skills.
