PARIS, Pa. — Area emergency personnel responded Thursday morning to an overturned tractor trailer in the westbound lanes of U.S. 22 just before the West Virginia-Pennsylvania state line.

One individual was extracted and transported for medical care. The incident affected traffic in both directions for several hours.

Personnel from the Weirton Fire Department, Weirton Police Department, Hancock Township Volunteer Fire Department, Ambulance and Chair and Pennsylvania State Police were among those responding to the scene.
