Local man’s original play on tap
WEIRTON — The “Monster in the Basement,” a one-act original play by local writer Adam Stickles, is being performed in conjunction with Striplight Community Theatre in Weirton at the Ashley Marie Performing Arts Center.
The show tells the story of three people linked by a crime, and the depths a person is willing to go when they become obsessed. It features local actors Kendra Wickham, Noah Hilton and James Purcell.
It will be the first show to be featured in Striplight’s Black Box Room. The show is recommended for mature audiences.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Jan. 24 and Jan. 25. Doors will open at 7 p.m. A matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Ticket prices are one for $7 and two for $10 and they are available at the door. It is cash only, and seating is very limited.
