Hancock County Courthouse closed to the public
NEW CUMBERLAND — The Hancock County Commission has ordered the Hancock County Courthouse to be closed to the public, in line with new directives from Gov. Jim Justice as part of ongoing precautions against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The closure went into effect at 11 a.m. Tuesday, and will last until further notice.
There will be limited staff available in each office to answer questions from the public by telephone or email.
A drop box will be placed in the courthouse lobby to place information for various offices.
Additional information will be available on the Hancock County website — www.hancockcountywv.org — as it is available.
