Recognition of service

During Monday’s regular meeting of the Hancock County Board of Education, Superintendent Dawn Petrovich and other school officials offered thanks to three outgoing board members for their service. Recognized were, from left, Michelle Chappell, who has been on the board for eight years; Danny Kaser, who has been on the board four years; and Toni Hinerman, who has been on the board for 12 years. Monday was the final regular meeting for the three on the board, with a special meeting set for today at 5 p.m. at Oak Glen High School. The school board will welcome three new members during a reorganizational meeting at noon, Tuesday at the John D. Rockefeller IV Career Center.
