Hitting the streets

Several dozen runners and walkers of all ages took to the streets of Marland Heights Friday night for the 24th-annual Marland Heights 5K Classic. The event, organized each year by the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation, featured a series of youth fun runs, as well as a 2-mile fitness walk and the namesake 5K race. A total participation number was not available Friday night.
