ANTHONY CLEMENTS
WEIRTON – The Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle continues to grow, with the recent addition of Anthony Clements as the organization’s new program director.
Clements joins the BDC with a background in risk management and finance, holding a master’s degree in Business Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
The addition will aid the organization’s mission of driving economic development in Brooke and Hancock counties by expanding its skill set.
“The BDC board is excited to add Anthony to the team. He’s coming in with the strong financial expertise and solid business knowledge that is needed in economic development,” stated William D’Alesio, chairman of the BDC’s board of directors.
Clements previously worked in the insurance industry for nine years, most recently in the captive and self-insurance field.
During his career, he has worked to finance and manage risks with small and large organizations in and outside of the Ohio Valley.
“Anthony brings energy and a comprehension of the financial and administrative nuances to complete deals,” said BDC Executive Director Marvin Six.
“This is an opportunity to add more tools to the toolbox at a strategically important time,” added Jacob Keeney, assistant executive director. “With historic manufacturing investments being announced all over the country, the process of landing them is as competitive as ever. Anthony’s hiring puts the BDC in a better position to attract investment to the Northern Panhandle.”
