An investigation is ongoing in relation to a structure fire on the 100 bloack of Elmer Avenue from late Monday night. According to officials on scene Tuesday morning, witnesses reported the sound of an explosion just after 11:30 p.m. Monday, with the fire engulfing the structure soon after. Reports indicate there were six individuals — three adults and three children — in the house at the time of the fire, with all but one of the adults able to escape. The adult male’s body was found within the remains of the structure later Tuesday. — Craig Howell
