WEIRTON – A boil order issued Thursday for the area of Weir Avenue has been lifted, effective at 8:55 a.m. today, according to the Weirton Area Water Board.

The order was issued following repairs to a water line, and included all side streets along Weir Avenue.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas may resume using water without any restrictions or requirement to boil their water.
