Weirton Restaurant Week starts on Sunday

WEIRTON — Following a bit of a delay, Weirton Restaurant Week is set to begin Sunday, with an opportunity for residents to sample the food and beverage offerings of more than 20 area eateries.

Weirton Restaurant Week is hosted by the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce in an effort to highlight local cuisine, with participants offering special discounts and menu items.

Participating restaurants and their offerings include:

• Basil’s Sports Bar, 27 Marshalling Yard Drive, Weirton: Limited-time BFC sandwich. Also, $4 pints from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday;

• Bistro 303 Prime Cuisine, 303 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, Happy hour specials, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, with $10 appetizers, $8 classic cocktails, $9 wine by the glass, $4 16-ounce draft, $3 bottled beers, and $2 off liquors;

• Breakfast at Holiday Inn Weirton Steubenville Area, 350 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, 25 percent off a breakfast entree when mentioning Weirton Restaurant Week;

• Crazy Mexican Bar and Grill, 247 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, Happy hour specials, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 50 percent off house margaritas (12 ounce and 27 ounce), well drinks and well liquor, 50 cents off bottled beer, $5 house wines, Sunday 50 percent off draft deers (16 ounce 32 ounce);

• Dee Jay’s BBQ Ribs and Grille, 380 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, 10 percent off a full rack of ribs with the purchase of any other menu item. Offer not valid with other discounts or promotions;

• DeFelice Bros. Pizza, 117 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, $12 delivery lunch special and a $9.99 carry-out lunch special, both featuring a choice of a small, one-topping pizza, calzone, sub sandwich or salad, 20-ounce drink and cookie 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; $2 off large Detroit-style pizzas, online orders of buy one pizza, get a second of equal or lesser value at 50 percent off;

• Domino’s Pizza, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, offers will be available on website;

• LBV Steakhouse, 1420 Mountaineer Circle, New Cumberland, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday only, 6-ounce filet, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus dinner for $24.99 by mentioning Weirton Restaurant Week;

• Mario’s Restaurant and Lounge, 3806 Main St., Weirton, dinner special of baked fish, roast beef or chicken dinner with sides and a soup or salad. Two special appetizers and two signature cocktails will be available;

• Mountaineer Casino: Big Al’s, Mahogany Sports Bar, and Gatsby, 1420 Mountaineer Circle, New Cumberland, 20 percent off menu items, not including alcohol, during regular business hours with a mention of Weirton Restaurant Week;

• Primanti Bros., 255 St. Thomas Drive, Weirton, buy one, get one free classic or original sandwiches when mentioning Weirton Restaurant Week. Tallboys and handhelds not included;

• Route 22 Sports Bar, 307 Three Springs Drive, 25 percent off wings all day Wednesday. 50 percent off burger of the day, all day Tuesday and Thursday. 50 percent off drinks Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (excludes top shelf). 50 percent off drinks Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight (excludes top shelf);

• Strikers Sports Bar, 3745 Main St., Weirton, $1 wings, drink of the week special, and 25 percent off all starters;

• Sweet Temptations, 3666 Lindberg Way, Weirton, free dessert with the purchase of a sandwich, Friday and Saturday only.

• T. Kosciuszko Hall, 1801 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, pop-up restaurant theme on select days, with different dinner themes to benefit local organizations;

• Texas Roadhouse, 100 Mall Drive, Steubenville, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, early dine limited menu of 11 entrees;

• Theo Yianni’s, 322 American Way, Weirton, 25 percent off limited menu;

• The Twister, 44 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, baked turkey meal with mashed potatoes, stuffing, a veggie roll and pumpkin pie for $17.75;

• Undo’s Family Restaurant, 350 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, lasagna, meatball, house salad and bread for $15;

• 7 Ranges, 100 Mall Drive, Steubenville, get one free round of mini-golf with any meal purchase.

In addition, those dining at participating restaurants will have an opportunity to enter a series of prize drawings by turning in their receipts, with their name and phone number written on the back, to either the Top of West Virginia CVB or Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce offices.

Winners will be drawn on March 10.
