Line repair to close southbound lane
WEIRTON — A portion of the southbound lanes of Main Street (state Route 2) will be temporarily closed today for a water line repair.
According to the West Virginia Division of Highways, the closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with traffic to be maintained by flaggers.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and expect delays.
Road maintenance set for today
WEIRTON — The Weirton Public Works will have temporary closures on two city streets today as part of planned road maintenance.
Announced Monday was the closures of South 11th Street, from Red Rider Road to Hill Street, between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and Greenbrier Road, from Campbell Lane to Sandy Lane, between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Newell sewer line project extended
NEWELL — The closure of a portion of Sixth Street in Newell has been extended through April 3.
Closures will happen daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the installation of new sewer lines. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers, with a detour using Fifth Street.
