WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for portions of Booker Street and Wayne Avenue following work on a water line in the area.

The Weirton Area Water Board reports repairs have been performed on a water line located on Booker Street today. As a result, a boil order has been issued for the 200 and 300 blocks of Booker Street and the 200 and 300 blocks of Wayne Avenue, as well as any other water customers in the area who lost water pressure.

If you live in the affected area, bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice.
