WEIRTON — The 29th-annual Marland Heights 5K Classic Run, Fitness Walk, and Youth Fun Run will be held on Aug. 8, at Marland Heights Park

The event will include a 3.1-mile run, two-mile fitness walk, and a youth fun run for children 12 years and under. The Youth Fun Run will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the 5K to follow at 7 p.m. The festivities will conclude with a cookout and award ceremony

Pre-Registration cost is $25 for adults, $15 for teenagers, and $3 for the Youth Fun Run.

Pre-registration will take place at the Weirton Millsop Community Center until noon, Aug. 7.

Race day registration fee will be $30 for adults and $20 for teenagers.

Water will be provided at the start/finish line as well as at visible water stations throughout the course.

Race timing will be provided by GCXC Race Timing out of Canfield, Ohio.
