WEIRTON — There’s still time to help spread some holiday cheer by taking part in this year’s Weirton Christmas Parade.

Organized by the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce, the parade is set to take place Nov. 29, and feature a theme of “Sounds of the Season.”

Those interested in being part of the parade lineup have until Friday to submit their registration form.

Entrant categories include:

• Large float, 20 feet trailer or longer;

• Mini float, less than a 20-foot trailer;

• Performance group, to include bands, dance schools, etc.

• Decorated vehicle/specialty unit, to include decorated cars/trucks/bicycles/wagons/antique vehicles;

• Fire/emergency unit;

• Equestrian unit.

Each entry registration must note the type of entry, the name of the parade participant, a contact person, address and phone number, email address and a detailed description of the entry for use in the lineup.

Pre-parade meetings have been scheduled for 5 p.m.Nov. 24 and 8 a.m. Nov. 25. A representative of each parade entrant must attend one of these meetings to receive lineup instructions and other information.
