Edward Emery

Edward F. “Jack” Emery, 72, of Steubenville died suddenly Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Trinity West ER.

He was born July 22, 1945 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late George and Matilda Hicks Emery.

Also preceding him in death are one brother Bill “Tom” Emery; three sisters Margaret Ferguson, Madeline Miles and June Hibbits.

Ed was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and was involved with the Booster’s club. He was also a life member of the Jefferson County Sportsman’s Association.

Ed also served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and was a Purple Heart recipient

Surviving are his beloved wife, Francine Venditti Emery, whom he married July 15, 1967; two daughters, Melissa (Keith) Bodnar of Bloomingdale, and Michelle Emery of Holly Springs, N.C.; three grandchildren, identical twins Natasha and Victoria Bodnar and Keith “Keifer” Bodnar; also many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Msgr. Gerald Calovini will officiate. Entombment will be private at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
