Charles F. Falk, 74, of Hookstown (Frankfort Springs Boro), died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, August 6, 2018, at Weirton Medical Center ER.
Born February 24, 1944, in Burgettstown, he was a son of the late Carl and Alice (Pemberton) Falk.
Charles was a PGA Golf Professional. A member of the Frankfort Springs United Presbyterian Church, he was a council member for Frankfort Springs Boro and was a member of the Tri-State Section PGA.
He had worked as a welder for J&L Steel, now LTV Steel, and had also worked at Williams Country Club, Montour Country Club and Seven Oaks Country Club. He retired from Dickás Sporting Goods in Steubenville as the PGA Golf Professional. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Lengyel Falk; a brother, John Falk, and three sisters, Gladys Kuhni, Fran Oaks and Nora Cook.
Surviving are his second wife, Joni (Semovoski) Falk, and his children and their spouses, Charles Falk, N.C.; Rick (Doreen) Falk, N.C.; Rob (Liz) Falk, Weirton, Shawn (Paula) Falk, Chester; Rae (Harold) Roach, Chester, and Alison Falk, Hookstown. He was the brother of Carl (Dorothy) Falk, Aliquippa; Joe (Karen) Falk, Illinois; Carla (Rick) Yacoviello, Frankfort Springs, and Cathy (John) Greathouse, New Cumberland. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, Jonathon, Meagan, Niko, Aric, Kayla, Adam, Chelcie, Jeromy, Ryan, Tyler, Kadyn, Ava, Aubrey, Alex, Matt, Alea and Ashlynn, and three great-grand children, Ace, Dean and Saylor.
Family and friends are welcome to call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, where a service will be held Friday, August 10, 2018. at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Kern, of the Community Bible Church, officiating.
He will be laid to rest in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
