Lawrence Crow

Surrounded by his family, Lawrence “Larry” P. Crow, 71, passed away on October 31, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Larry was born a native of Amsterdam, Ohio and spent the majority of his life living in what he believed to be one of the best places you could ever live, Bergholz, Ohio. Larry was an active member and trustee of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Bergholz, treasurer and secretary of the Bergholz Community Foundation, and past president and treasurer of the Bergholz Ruritan. He was also a member of the Bergholz Fire Department, and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #315, Salineville. In 1963, Larry met the love of his life, Delores “Micki” and married her in 1968 and resided in Bergholz for 50 years raising their family together.

Larry started his career as a local branch manager at The Citizens banking Company, which later became Sky Bank. Larry retired from Sky Bank as the senior vice president of operations at the age 52.

After his retirement from the bank, Larry’s work was far from done and he dedicated the remainder of his life to serving others and making the community in which he lived a better place, including helping others as an associate of the Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes.

In addition to the many projects that he spearheaded in Bergholz, he helped establish the Bergholz Foundation, which is now approaching its 25th year of operation. In addition to his community involvement, Larry was a devoted member and president of the Edison Local School Board. While Larry had many professional achievements during his lifetime, to his family he will be best known for what he did as husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law.

Larry is survived by his wife, Micki; his three children, Todd (Meghan) Crow of Bergholz, Chris Crow of Canal Winchester and Mindy (Clint) Carpenter of Bergholz; and his eight grandchildren, Kathryn, Vicki, Christian, Chloe, Liberty, Ben, Gracie and Abby.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., November 3, 2018 with Pastor David Miller officiating.

Masonic services at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bergholz Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Bergholz Community Foundation in Bergholz.
