Robert Michael Coker, 77, of Steubenville passed away November 30, 2018, at the V.A. Hospital in Aspinwall, PA.
He was born June 8, 1941, in Steubenville to the late Ulysses and Mable Catherine Coker.
Robert was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and later served as the first president of the Steubenville Vietnam Veterans Group. He retired from the Weirton Steel Co.
Robert was an avid fan of the Steubenville Big Red and Pittsburgh Steelers football teams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael II; a brother, James; and a baby sister, Debra.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Harriett Virginia Coker; and a daughter, Natausha (Timothy) Kight; four grandchildren, Teighli, Tylynn, Toney, and Timothy II; two brothers, Rodgers and Ronald Coker; a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 N. 7th St., Steubenville, where Bishop Jermaine V. Moore will officiate and Pastor Reginald Ward will give the eulogy. Arrangements by Gregory-Martin Funeral Home, LLC.
