David James Obeldobel, 68, of Weirton, formerly of Pittsburgh, quietly and peacefully lost his battle with cancer on November 28, 2019, at the Weirton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Melissa; parents, Martin and Ruth Obeldobel; and brother, Martin Jr.
He is survived by his wife Janna; son, Douglas (Edith) Obeldobel of Colliers; step-children, Leanna (Conleith) Beatty of Leesburg, VA, Jeremiah (Jessica) Kraft of Weirton, Carrie (Stan) Darke of Falls Church, VA; 12 grandchildren; and sisters, Marian Zarnich of Pittsburgh, Kathy Chicchi of Findleyville, PA, Ruth (Kevin) Henderson of Johns Island, SC; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
David was a local businessman, owner of M & D Auto Clinic. He loved boating and camping. He spent many long hours with friends and relatives on the Ohio River. He loved and was loved by many. He will be forever missed.

Friends will be received on Sunday, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m., and on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, at noon. Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate.
Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
