Harold ‘Bo’ Kestner, 80, of Mason, OH, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, in Mason.
Bo was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Toronto, son of the late Leonard and Viola (Goddard) Kestner.
He was retired from Weirton Steel, where he worked as a Powerhouse Operator. Bo was a 1957 graduate of Toronto High School and a Veteran of the Army Reserves.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved to golf. He enjoyed attending Buckeye games in Columbus and Reds games in Cincinnati. Bo also enjoyed following his grandsons in their sporting activities.
In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death his brother, Carl ‘Butch’ Kestner.
Bo leaves behind his wife, Sharon (Elliott) Kestner, whom he married Sept. 26, 1964; his two sons, David (Tonia) Kestner of Lebanon, OH and Scott (Marcy) Kestner of Mainville, OH; his brother, Don (Julia) Kestner of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and his three grandsons, Janzen, Luke and Nolan.
Friends will be received Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, from 10 a.m., up to the time of his Memorial Service at noon, at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, in Toronto. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate and interment will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com.
