Joan Mae Kelley, 82, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 15, 1937, in Parlett, OH, a daughter of the late Louis and Lena Wilson Smith.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey “Bucky” Bertram; and three siblings, Evelyn “Toots” Devore, Louis and Robert Smith.
Joan was a country girl who enjoyed the simple things in life. She was the sweetest little thing with the warmest smile and the prettiest blue eyes that would warm your heart. Joan enjoyed being with her family, watching Westerns and playing Bingo, Bunco and cards with her daughter.
Joan is survived by her son and best buddy, William “Willy” Bertram, with whom she resided and who took care of her day and night; daughter, Cathy (John) Needham; many nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH, on Saturday, from 10 a.m., until the time of services at noon, with Rev. William Westling officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.
