Judith Ann “Judy” Jackson, age 77, of Steubenville, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
She was born October 21, 1942, in Toronto, OH, the daughter of the late Harlan Hamilton Carson and Ruth Rosely (Montgomery) Carson.
Judy was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church of Steubenville (Pleasant Hill); was a 1960 graduate of Toronto High School and loved to square dance.
She was retired from the Jefferson County School of Bright Promise as a bus driver.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Jackson Jr. in 1998, whom she married January 14, 1957.
She is survived by her sons, Robert H. (Drenna Zook) Jackson of Toronto, Vernon E. (Kimberly) Jackson of Bloomingdale, and Keith A. (Margaret Walker) Jackson of Steubenville; daughter, Krystal D. (Brian) Carnahan of Fayetteville, GA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and her companion for 20 years, Max Hamner.
Visitation hours for Judy will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 13, at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, and from 10-11 a.m., Friday, February 14, at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, State Rt. 213, Steubenville, (Pleasant Hill), followed by a celebration service of Judy’s life Friday, at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
