Robin Gegas Greene, 63, entered peacefully into eternal rest with her precious Lord and Savior on March 1, 2020, in St. Pete Beach, Florida, after a short battle with brain cancer.
Robin was born on November 17, 1957, in Weirton, the daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy (Magrini) Gegas. Robin graduated from Madonna High School in Weirton in 1975 and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1979
Robin is survived by her husband, Raymond; her loving sister, Cynthia Gegas Demers (Russell) of Scottsdale, Arizona; and her brother, Daniel Gegas, of Weirton. Robin brightened the lives of her nieces and will be very much missed by Alexandra Demers, Marissa Demers, Danicka Gegas, and Kodi Gegas Hines (Robert). Robin will be forever remembered by her numerous loving cousins, extended family, and dear friends in Weirton, the Tri-State area, Florida, Virginia and around the world.
Robin was employed by the St. Petersburg, Florida, Police Department in the Information Technology and Services Unit. All who were fortunate to work with her will remember her fondly for her contributions, dedication, laughter, and continual smiles. She was previously employed by TechData in Florida and Weirton Steel Corporation in Weirton.
Robin will be remembered by all who knew her for her strong Christian faith, her kindness, laughter, generosity, love, intelligence, special sense of style, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Robin was an encourager to everyone, and she delighted in the accomplishments of others. She lived her life to the fullest as an avid tennis player, world traveler, and lover of music and dancing. She gifted many with her beautiful needlework. We all know that Robin never met a pair of shoes she didn’t like.
With great sadness, our precious Robin leaves a void in the hearts of all the many people who knew and loved her, and we celebrate the gifts that Robin’s life brought to us. People who knew her were inspired by her positive attitude and benefited from her prayers. We each will treasure the beautiful memories of those special times that we shared with Robin during her life, and we will always carry those memories in our hearts. We know that heaven has gained a true angel.
A memorial service will be held in Robin’s honor on March 22, 2020, at Glad Tidings Church, 4200 17th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida, at 2 p.m.
