Christine Lamantia

Christine Marie “Tina” (Pavia) Lamantia, 99, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Marysville, OH. Tina resided in Marysville for the last year to spend more time with her family.

Tina was born Oct. 23, 1920 in Empire, OH, daughter of the late Nicholas Pavia and Assunta (Barbara) Pavia Sestito. She married Francis ‘Frenchie’ Lamantia on July 31, 1944, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto as well as the Catholic Women’s Club. Tina loved to cook and bake for her friends and family especially her children and grandchildren.

In addition to Frenchie and her parents, Tina was also preceded in death by her stepfather, who raised her, Joseph Sestito; her three sisters, Jennie Cantini, Martha Parsons and Concetina Sestito and her brother, Ralph Pavia.

Tina leaves behind her daughter, Donna (Randy) Stutler of Marysville, OH; her son, Michael (Jennifer) Lamantia of Sunbury, OH; her five grandchildren, Clint (Stacy) Stutler of Lewis Center, OH, Scott (Beth) Stutler of Petersburg, WV, Stephanie (Chris) Perez of Dublin, OH, Jesicah Whan of Austin, TX and Jacob (Jill) Whan of Delaware, OH; eight great-grandchildren, Sydney and Nate Stutler, Luke Stutler, Tony and Gino Perez, Abigail Toops, Zara and Vega Whan; her brother, James (Emily) Sestito of Clearwater, FL and many loving nieces and nephews.

Tina will be laid to rest next to her husband with a private graveside service in the Toronto Union Cemetery. A Memorial Mass is being planned in the fall to celebrate her life and her 100th birthday.
