Stanley Willey

Stanley D. Willey, 87, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Weirton Medical Center.

He was born February 26, 1933 in Pine Grove, WV a son of the late John Dee & Rhoda (Wyatt) Willey. He is also preceded in death by his wife Mary (Walp) Willey and two brothers John Lee Willey and Ray Willey.

Stanley was a retired Rigger from Weirton Steel Corp where he was a member of the 25 yr Club; a member of the First Christian Church of Chester, WV and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are his children Marie (Craig) Henkel of Pittsburgh, PA; Betty (John Mocek) Johnston of Burgettstown, PA; Dave (Kim) Willey of Chester, WV; Donald (Bonnie) Willey of New Cumberland, WV and Carl (Patty) Willey of Wintersville, OH; a sister Deloris Nieves of Villa Park, IL; two brothers Don Willey of Chicago, IL and Marion (Jean) Willey of Gentry, Arkansas; six grandchildren Katie (Brandon) Barnes, Judie Johnston, Adam Willey, Cody Willey, Noah Willey and Tyler Simpson; two great grandchildren Brantley Barnes and Briar Barnes.

Friends will be received Monday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm at the Turley Funeral Home.

Services will be there on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Direnzo of the Everyday Church officiating. Interment and Military graveside services will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
