JACK ALLISON SR

Jack Roland Allison, Sr., age 80 of Toronto passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born June 13, 1940 in Toronto the son of the late Charles and Clara (Starkey) Allison.

Jack was a member of the Word of Truth Church of Jewett where he served as an elder of the church on the church board and helped with various church activities; was a 1958 graduate of Toronto High School; was a supporter and worker at the Toronto Helping Hands and the Salvation Army, Toronto Unit; had served as a Toronto Fire Department Volunteer; was known for handing out balloons to the kids on Halloween for over 35 years; was a long time blood donor and was retired from TIMET of Toronto. He loved boating, fishing, motorcycling but his favorite thing to do was hang out with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda (Hayes) Allison in 1976; sister, Olivia A. DeLaire in 2011 and a brother, Charles E. Allison in 2016.

Jack is survived by his sons, Jack R. (Terri) Allison, Jr., Scott M. Allison, Jeremy H. Allison; daughter, Melissa C. McCoy all of Toronto; grandchildren, Jordan, Griffin, Brooklyn, Allison, Nash, Katelyn, Blair and Olivia; sister, Cindy L. (Gary) Hayes of Toronto and his companion, Grace Cervenak.

Friends and family will gather for Jack’s visitation 4 – 6 PM Monday, February 22nd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jack will be held at 6 PM Monday at the funeral home with Pastors John and Donna Bishop officiating.

Jack will be laid to rest at the Toronto Union Cemetery at a later date.
