Robert Gary “Bert” DiBiase, 34, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully after a long and hard fought battle against cancer on Friday, May 14, 2021 at OSU Wexford Medical under the care of Hospice of Central Ohio.
Bert was born on October 6, 1986 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of Nancy (Walker) DiBiase of Wintersville, OH and the late Gary DiBiase, who passed away on February 6, 2021.
Bert was a 2005 graduate of Brooke High School, and a West Liberty University graduate in criminal justice. Many will remember Bert for working with his dad at Curly’s Pizza, Follansbee, WV, his enjoyment of scaring just about anybody, playing video games– especially World of Warcraft; but most of all, his love of writing, playing and listening to music and his dear family.
In addition to his father, Bert was preceded in death by his three aunts, Nancy Ann Tedeschi, Linda Barney and Carolyn Moore; and an uncle, Tony DiBiase.
In addition to his mother, Bert is survived by his six sisters, Rebecca Drake, husband, William, Rachel Balzano, husband, James, Gwen Julio, Nina Harrison, husband, Andrew (Xero), Eden Margaria, husband, Joe and Tina Klies; 15 nieces and nephews, Emily, Caroline and Cody Drake, Mason and Abbigael Balzano, Timothy, Gianna and Gabriella Julio, Fox Harrison, Bam, Otto and Jett Margaria, Braidy Tandon, husband, Stefano, and Brock and Avery Lucas; a great-niece and great- nephew, Briar and Wyatt; two uncles, Paul DiBiase and Tony Tedeschi; and an aunt, Janet Adamczyk and numerous friends.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4-7 p.m., and again on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Funeral Chaplain, Reverend Sharon Van Dam, officiating. All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering.
