John Bine

John Robert “Joe” Bine, 77 of Wellsburg, WV died in an automobile accident on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Weirton, WV.

Born on August 13, 1944, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Mustafa Bine and Lorraine (Weatherhead) Schubenski. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Bine, and his brother, Holly “Kike” Bine.

Joe graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1962 and graduated from West Liberty State College with a B.A. in accounting, and a secondary B.A. in business from Liberty University. He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as a foreman in the tin mill and hot mill for over 30 years. He also owned and operated Joe Bine’s Tax Preparation for many years. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Joe was a true sport’s enthusiast enjoying the Notre Dame Fighting Irish having attended many games with his children, grandchildren, and family friends.

He is survived by his two loving sons, Michael (Lisa) Bine of Follansbee, WV and Jeff (Angie) Bine of Weirton, WV; four sisters, Patricia (Bill) Rice of St. Clairsville, OH, Margaret (Frank) Phouts of Wintersville, OH, Tina McAdams of Irondale, OH, and Mary Sandy Evans of Malone, FL; nine grand- children who called him Yabba, Madison, Oliva, and Nicholas Bine, Logan Bine, Corey (Chrissy) Larkins, Ashley and Jordan Arca, Paul (Adrienne) Kelley, Shannon (Ron) Flynn, two great grandsons, Hunter Larkins and Ronnie Flynn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20th from 11:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Liturgy of the Word at 1:00 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV with the Rev. Father Jude officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.

Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad and the Army Honor Guard.
