GEORGE “HOLLYWOOD” FRAGIADAKIS
George “Holly- wood” Fragiadakis, long-time resident of Saratoga California, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 11 th . He was 90 years old.
George is survived by his wife Alma, sons Kanakis, Joseph and Steven, and Dr. Kenneth and Angie Frangadakis, and their extended family.
He is also survived by nephew Joshua Lee, his daughter-in-law Stacy Lawson, longtime family friend Leslie Capella, “adopted” sons Charles Bostic and Frank Rowan, and the grand-daughter of his heart, Kai Li Capella.
George started his journey in 1932, in Weirton West Virgina. As a young man George joined the Navy and served honorably for four years on the U.S.S. Randolph. A
fter his service, George spent time in Steubenville Ohio, where he managed to earn a degree AND fall in love with a local beauty at the town dance hall –
George and Alma married in 1955. George and Alma then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to seek new opportunities and join cousins George and Kay Frangadakis. George’s friends and family will always remember an exceptionally good hearted and kind man, who loved a great meal, a great ballgame, and a great time.
