RHONDA LONG

Rhonda K. Long, 77, of Weirton, WV passed away on Sunday August 27, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Walter and Mary Swearingen Hill. She is also preceded in death by her infant son, Jason Eric Swiger; and her loving grandson, Kristopher Lee Swiger.

Rhonda retired from the bookkeeping de- partment of Herald Star as well as a supervisory position in the money room at KeyBank Pavilion.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 31 years, Charles R. Long; son, Wesley Swiger (Heather) of Westerville, OH; daughter, Gwen Fuccy of Weirton; stepdaughter, Gisele Nemedy (Joseph) of Sumter, SC; five grandchildren, Wesley “Wooz” Swiger, Jr., Kendrick Swiger, Halli Swiger, Samantha Tate, Cody Tate; and great granddaughter, Blake Olivia Sunny Swiger.

Visitation will take place Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 4pm until time of service at 6pm at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, with Reverend Larry Barkley presiding.
