RICHARD KRISAK
Richard Joseph Krisak, 76, of Steubenville, died at home Wednesday, January 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 21, 1947, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Edward and Anna (Krysztofik) Krisak. He is preceded in death by his brothers Edward Krisak, Jr. and Joseph Krisak.
He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1965, and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1969 from The College of Steubenville and a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1980 from the University of Steubenville.
He was the owner and operator of Richard J. Krisak Accounting. Richard was a member of the Holy Rosary Parish Council, Holy Rosary Bocce League, Wintersville Rotary, Serra Club, Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and the Elks 231.
He was active in volunteering many years for Holy Rosary Grade School and Catholic Central High School as a fundraiser, booster member and coach. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen, whom he married on July 15, 1972; daughters Kara (John) Bryan, Marissa (Justin) Wanchik, and Mia (Timothy) Ickes, all of Steubenville, Ohio; grandchildren Zachary Bryan, Luke Bryan, Braden Wanchik, Juliana Wanchik, Olivia Ickes and Gianna Ickes; one brother, Ronald (Tina) Krisak, of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many good friends.
Richard loved the New Jersey seashore. No trip there was complete until he enjoyed Maruca’s pizza and a cheesesteak on the boardwalk at Seaside. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame and Catholic Central athletics. He loved attending his grand- children’s sports games and dance recitals. Nothing gave him more joy than being with family and close friends. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Rosemont Avenue, Steubenville, with Rev. Matthew Gossett officiating.
