NANCY HYDE

She was born December 20, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Frank A. “Pete” and Dorothy (Phillipson) Kelly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Hyde.

Nancy was a homemaker, and she also worked for Allen Jewelers out of the former Treasurer Island. She loved quilting and piddling and doing whatever she wanted to do.

Surviving are two daughters, Pam (Glenn) Love of Raleigh, NC and Dorothy “Dee” (Charles “Chuck”) Kovach of Steubenville, OH; a son, Russell (Patricia “Patty”) Hyde of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Mike (Carolyn) Kelly of Sky Valley, GA; a sister, Patricia Bloomer of Dyersburg, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Weirton Geriatric Center and Valley Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Nancy.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, OH where her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Dee Kovach, officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction, OH.
