Another successful concert season

It’s been another successful summer for local community concerts, with weekly performances bringing crowds of area residents together.

Whether it be those gathered each Friday at the Weirton Event Center for the Downtown and Sundown shows or on Thursday nights at the Louis and Sandra Berkman Amphitheater for the annual Fort Steuben Concert Series, there was a variety of entertainment to fit everyone’s tastes in music.

These concerts continue to grow in popularity each year, drawing performers from up and down the Ohio Valley and across the Tri-State Area and seeing increasing attendance numbers.

Showcasing established musicians such as Legend, De Ja Vu, the Fossils and U.S. Kids, as well as some up-and-coming artists like Spinning Jenny, the Joseph Sisters, Justin Fabus, Gabby Barrett and more, our local summer concert series provide not only an evening of free entertainment but an opportunity for friends and family to gather for a few hours and relax while enjoying some of what our area has to offer.

We thank the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau and Historic Fort Steuben, as well as all of the local sponsors and contributors who make these concert series possible.

They truly are a great asset for the Ohio Valley, and we look forward to seeing the return of these series next summer.
