Springtime means home improvement projects

With spring right around the corner, many area residents likely are beginning to think about which projects they plan to tackle, inside and outside of their homes, this year.

If you find yourself in that group and are looking for some new and innovative ideas, you’ll want to attend the Tri-State Home and Garden Show. An annual rite of late winter, this year’s event will be held Friday through Sunday at the St. Florian Event Center in Wintersville.

Presented by Wheelhouse Creative and sponsored by DeNoon Lumber and the Jefferson County and Weirton Area chambers of commerce, the event will feature more than 80 vendors and exhibitors. It’s a showcase of local businesses that are focused on providing visitors with plenty of ideas for home improvement and outdoor projects, from roofing and windows to landscaping and interior decorating.

Show hours are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. And, there’s no charge for admission.

It’s an event that always draws a lot of interest — and a great place to meet the people who can help bring to life whatever plans you have for the coming year.
