Trump is not the leader we need

To the Editor,

Wow! Where are we going? What are we becoming? The examples shown our youngsters are unacceptable.

TV news, advertisements and even movies rated A-OK have a lot to be desired.

Talk about bad mannerisms, just watch the presidential debates.

Donald Trump stops at nothing, he seems to let the rule of common decency go by the wayside. How anyone can want this man as our president just flabbergasts me.

I can’t imagine him as our leader, with his arrogance, offensiveness, rudeness, conceit and self-importance.

I’ve always imagined our president as the carburetor of our daily lives and he or she has to be a good person basically. Our president should be someone able to befriend our allies with respect, harmony and diplomacy. Trump shows none of this.

His name calling is outrageous, even saying all our nation’s leaders are idiots or worse.

I know we the people didn’t select all idiots.

Trump continually boasts he finances his own campaign. Those tens of millions are peanuts to him and probably tax deductible.

He claims to have started at the bottom with his dad giving him $1 million and complained he had to pay it back with interest.

I think a lot of us would like to start out with $1 million.

We must give him credit as he multiplied that $1 million 12,000 times, making him worth $12 billion.

That said, it doesn’t give him the right to promote violence like telling his backers to slap or punch someone and he’ll pay the lawyers fee. In fact, I think it’s against the law and the same as shouting fire in a crowded room.

I witnessed three atomic bomb tests down in the Marshall Islands and these were the same size as we used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki and you can’t believe the awesomeness of this blast.

I would fear Donald Trump seated next to that so-called button, especially with the mega bombs they have today, it would make the blasts I saw look like a Fourth. of July celebration.

Please use common sense and much thought when voting this year.

Don’t pump Trump, dump Trump.

And remember our motto! In God we trust!
