Kiwanis appreciates help with radio auction

To the Editor,

Weirton Kiwanis would like to send a special “thank you” to everyone who participated in our 65th annual Kiwanis Radio Auction. Without the help and support of all the business leaders who kindly donate to our auction, and the listeners who purchase their products, we would not be able to raise the money we need to help children around the world, such as the Eliminate program for third world countries so that the babies can get the needed medical help they so need.

We have numerous programs here in hte Tri-State Area, such as Terrific Kids program for our elementary school children, Weir High K Club, the Builders Club for the middle school children and the annual dance for Sheltered Workshop clients.

A special “thank you” for monetary donations from attorney Dean Makricostas, Granato’s Imported Foods & Deli, PS Marketing and Wheeling Kiwanis. Also, a special “thank you” to Weirton Medical Center, Hancock County Savings Bank, Robinson & Son Construction and Kiwanis member CPA Mary K. Olashuk for their help with the cost of advertising.

Of course, we cannot forget to send a very special “thank you” to WEIR Radio for their never-ending help for the last 65 years.

John Hudson

President, Weirton Kiwanis
