Some post-election thoughts

To the Editor,

Now that the election is over, the candidates need to do something about all the political signs that have sprouted up all over the place. No matter how you did, you (or your committee) need to remove these signs.

Another thought occurred to me regarding the results of the recent election. The winners need to look at the number of people who voted for their opponents. If you want to be re-elected, you should make some effort to find out how you could persuade those voters to support you next time.

My third and final point is addressed to the Republican Committee of Hancock County. When I voted, there were several offices which had no Republican candidates. My choices were limited by this lack. Do you mean to tell me that there are no Republicans interested in running for the various offices? Surely there are qualified candidates out there. Maybe you have to take a more pro-active stance in order to give Republicans a voice in affairs of Hancock County.
