Clinton backers ignore the obvious

To the Editor,

The election is over; Donald Trump won. Why are so many still griping about Hillary?

Well, for me it’s simple outrage, because Hillary is crooked.

Terribly, obviously crooked — she’s been dogged for decades by charges of corruption and malfeasance, and has been caught in too many lies to count. She’s lied about things she didn’t even have to lie about. She’s indirectly linked, over decades to, well, let’s call it an “oddly disproportionate” number of questionable deaths — business associates, staffers, acquaintances. There have been many questions about the Clinton Foundation.

If it waddles and quacks enough times, it’s probably a duck.

Yet, many of her supporters, when presented with the facts — even when the incidents and charges are individually itemized and explained — will only say “prove it.” This tells me that they know it’s all true, they just don’t care.

Democrats. Don’t. Care.

She exerted undue, improper influence on the Justice Department and FBI, and manipulated the electoral process, stealing her nomination, and everyone knows it. No attempt to hide it. But, again, “prove it.”

As I have observed on many occasions, for Democrats, the sleazier and shadier, the better. Things like inappropriate conduct, questionable associations, ethical ambiguity and lack of integrity are all resume enhancements, for their politicians. In that respect, Hillary Clinton’s resume is probably the most perfect of any Democrat politician who ever existed.

Ever.

If any of us nobodies — even many somebodies — did the kinds of things she’s been accused of over the years, we’d have been paroled, by now.

The woman is literally the head of a crime family — she’s like a mafia don — and if there was any real justice left, should have been out to pasture in disgrace, dressed in orange scrubs, making license plates. Decades ago. Yet, there she was, running for president.

Nixon was ruined over 18 minutes of erased tape. Hillary deleted 30,000 e-mails from a server she wasn’t supposed to be using in the first place, and allegedly didn’t realize that “C” stood for “classified.”

But then, Nixon was a Republican, so that’s just … different. A hugely unfair and obvious double standard, but who cares?

The pointless recount — where did Jill Stein come up with the money for that, so quickly? Can anyone say Clinton Foundation? — only resulted in Trump’s gain, and has uncovered likely Democrat voter fraud in Michigan. Remember how terrible Hillary said Trump was, though, when he said he might challenge the election results? “A danger to our democratic system.” You know, like Al Gore in 2000, like Hillary did through Stein, after stealing her nomination.

There’s that double standard again.

Her supporters clearly couldn’t care less about any of these things — as she knew they wouldn’t — and the people in power who should care, won’t do anything about it. In fact, for whatever reasons, they even enable her.

They probably don’t want to chance being added to that list of questionable deaths.
