Be careful what you wish for
To the Editor,
Here’s a play on words that might come true with no transparency from the discombobulated Trump transition team: With no transparency, what is Trump and his cabinet about to do?
It’s a secret on how he is going to eradicate ISIS, and that he doesn’t want to warn them is his excuse. Trump’s cabinet puts Iran on notice by ramping up rhetoric for war. Remember G.W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld and Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction? Are Steve Bannon and others the architects of doom for the Middle East and the world?
Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and the other Fox News Channel party hackers should watch what they wish for in Trump. He has the code for a nuclear Holocaust at his disposal, living alone at the White House and walking the halls at night. If he gets bored, what might he tweet before or after bombs are bursting in air?
Former President Obama was highly criticized for making reference to some of America’s shortcomings.
Quoting O’Reilly’s Super Bowl interview with Trump, O’Reilly called Putin a killer, and Trump answered that there are a lot of killers and “Do you think our country’s so innocent?”
The conservative columnist Patrick Buchanan said, “While his reply was clumsy, Trump’s intent was commendable.” Condemning America is now commendable because Trump said so. God help us. Viva America.
