Smoking regulations should be about health

To the Editor,

They eliminate it. Now they want it back, because it comes down to one thing, money not people’s health.

I had to endure second-hand smoke at jobs for years before the ban, and wound up getting respiratory infections and missing work for weeks. I’ve enjoyed going into public places because of the smoking ban. Who wants to smell from someone else’s cigarette smoke if you don’t smoke yourself.

If you’ve never had someone close to you die from lung cancer due to smoking, then you don’t know the effect it has on a family. My precious daughter died four years ago from lung cancer. I also have COPD due to second-hand smoke.

Keep our air clean.

It’s a dirty habit and takes people’s lives.
